This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible. All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play
without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove,
you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not,
then you may return it for a full refund.
With our Used CDs, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of
surface marks — clean, and not dirty at all. You can also expect the case to be
clean (we often change the cases ourselves — putting fresh cases on Used CDs we
handle) — and you can expect the booklet to be in good shape, unless noted
otherwise. We will list any specific details/defects underneath the item — so
look for notes on cutout marks in the case, stamps on the barcode, or details like that.
A heavy heavy set from Gloria Jones – a record that features some killer Paul Riser arrangements that are right up there with the deepest Motown work of the early 70s! Jones' groove is always a bit different than most of her contemporaries – not the usual Motown bag, and really far-reac ... CD
After beginning life as a super fuzzed-out psychasouladelic band, Parliament emerged as one of the best pop-funk combos of the mid/late 70s – with a tight tight sound that mixed the smooth major label sound of Casablanca with the mad funk genius of George Clinton. This huge 3LP set brings ... CD
There's never been a better bit of pop throwaway dancefloor fodder ever! Sure, these guys were blaring out of every cheap radio at the time, and it was just about impossible to walk into a shopping mall without hearing "Groove Is In The Heart" for about 5 years after the album came out ... CD
Includes material from The Silhouettes, The Dominoes, Charlie Gracie, The Neons, The Flairs, The Marvels, The Bonnie Sisters, Rusty Bryant, The Velveteers, The Preludes, The Paramounts, Johnny Fuller, The Blue Notes, and Jimmy Wilde. 30 tracks in all! CD
Beautiful late 60's southern soul by one of the best (and rarest) groups of the genre. The amazing trio of the Kelly Brothers recorded these tracks for the Excello label between 1966 and 1968, and although some of them were compiled on an album by the group, that album's been tremendously hard to ... CD
The title says it all – as the set's a collection of rare group soul recordings from Chicago, either unreleased recordings by obscure groups, or a few alternate takes of more famous numbers (but we use that term loosely here, as the cuts are all pretty darn rare!) Obviously, the fidelity's ... CD
Another incredible volume in the Soulful Thangs series – easily one of the greatest for late nite soul and rare harmony vocals! The package has a beautifully drifting sound throughout – that mellow as mellow can be soul that was made most perfectly at the end of the 60s and into the ... CD
A great little album from Loose Ends – probably one of their best! The set came out in 1990, when Soul II Soul were cracking the charts, and showing the world that the UK soul scene was ready to burst. And although Loose Ends had been laboring in the wasteland of UK soul for years, they ... CD
A huge discovery in vocal group material from the 50s – served up in this excellent series of tracks from the vaults of LA's Modern Records label! Most folks associate the early vocal group sounds with the east coast or Chicago scenes of the postwar years – but there was also plenty of ... CD
