An unusual one from Dakota Staton – and almost a bit more bluesy than some of her Capitol sessions! Titles include "Supper Time", "I Stood By", "I Gotta Go", "Hurry Home", and "My Search Is Over". LP, Vinyl record album
A Capitol classic from Dakota Staton – and the record that made her a real leading lady at the label in the years before Nancy Wilson's rise! Titles include some great medleys – "Angelina/Zooma Zooma" ... LP, Vinyl record album
A real sweet soul gem from Nancy! The record has her working with arrangements and production by Gene and Billy Page – who give the record a great smooth 70s soul finish, and a feel that's a lot more unified than some of her other efforts from the decade. Nancy sings some great versions of ... LP, Vinyl record album
One of June's greatest records, next to her impossible to beat Something Cool! Like that set, this one features dark arrangements by Pete Rugolo, working very hard here to win the "off beat" tag of the title. June's perfectly matched for this sort of setting, and her detachedly sad ... LP, Vinyl record album
The sweet vocals of Nancy join the classic Cannonball quintet for a great set of soul jazz tunes that was one of Capitol's biggest selling jazz sides in the 60s! About half the cuts feature Nancy on vocals – on tunes like "Save Your Love For Me", "Never Will I Marry", ... LP, Vinyl record album
