This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.
Beautiful work from African Virtuoses – a group who really earn their name, thanks to great guitar work from Abdoulaye and Sekou Diabate! There's a sweetly trilling feel to most of these numbers – light and melodic guitar interplay over bass and percussion – augmented with a bit ... CD
A strangely beautiful set of African-tinged folksy soul – with a sound that's pretty darn tough to describe! Birigwa plays guitar and sings – and he's got a breezy style that sounds a bit like Letta Mbulu on some tracks – but a bit more folksy on others, given the largely ... CD
A vital compilation of 70s material by Zimbabwe's Hallelujah Chicken Run Band! The Hallelujah Chicken Run Band vocals are led by the great Thomas Mapfumo, but overall it's very much a group effort that's rich in harmonies and backing vocals by all of the members. The guitars are just as important ... CD
Classic material from one of Gambia's greatest bands! This staunchly modern group shook things up at home in the late 60s, playing through Marshall amps and dressing in thrift store duds for a sartorial splendor at home with Swinging London. The band covered "Hey Jude" and wrote some ... CD
A rare early session as a solo act by vocalist Jon Hendricks – recorded at the time when he was first making waves with Lambert, Hendricks, and Ross – but proof that Jon always sounded a lot hipper on his own! The style here is quite different from the vocalese of LHR, and Hendricks is ... CD
A nice one from one of Chicago's most underrated jazz men! Bobby Broom's been plying his trade here in the Windy City on guitar in small group combos for years, playing some of the finest post bop modern jazz we've heard, but he's made few recordings. This great disc captures him alongside Lonnie ... CD
