Star Wars & Other Galactic Funk

LP (Item 541748) Casablanca, 1977 — Condition: Very Good+
Titles include "Star Wars & Other Galactic Funk", "The Last Battle", "Cantina Band", "Throne Room & End Title", and "Other Galactic Funk".  © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Cover has light ringwear, some edge wear, and is lightly bent at the edges.)

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Stephanie Mills

I've Got The Cure
Casablanca, 1984. Near Mint-

Donna Summer

I Remember Yesterday
Casablanca, 1977. Near Mint-
Sweet grooves from Donna Summer – who was still a rising star at this point in the 70s! The title is an honest one – for an album with songs that look back at 60s and earlier 70s soul songcraft – and even earlier than that – mostly via the groovy backup vocals. So, Ms. ... LP, Vinyl record album

Alec R Costandinos

Romeo & Juliet
Casablanca, 1977. Near Mint-
Without a doubt, Alec R. Costandinos was one of the strangest disco arranger/producers of the 70s! Disco Suite Symphony No 1 In Rhythm & Excellence
Casablanca, 1976. Near Mint- 2LP
A double-length disco symphony – and a surprisingly good one at that! The set was put together by DJ Frankie Crocker – but we're guessing the real talent lies elsewhere, most likely in the talents of the session players – an all-star group that includes Billy Mitchell on piano, ... A seminal bit of crossover disco from the mid 70s – and a record that broke big on its title reworking of The Animals' earlier hit! Village People

Cruisin
Casablanca, 1978. Near Mint-
A real breakout album for The Village People – thanks largely to the hit "YMCA", which had surprising play at the time – and has gone onto become one of those ballpark hits that everyone seems to sing completely un-self-consciously!
