If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible. All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play
without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove,
you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not,
then you may return it for a full refund.
With our Used CDs, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of
surface marks — clean, and not dirty at all. You can also expect the case to be
clean (we often change the cases ourselves — putting fresh cases on Used CDs we
handle) — and you can expect the booklet to be in good shape, unless noted
otherwise. We will list any specific details/defects underneath the item — so
look for notes on cutout marks in the case, stamps on the barcode, or details like that.
At this point, we hardly need to tell you what this is about. To many, a genre-defining period classic: haunting vocals, dark, spacey production, and beats so slow, you wonder if your turntable isn't busted. "Sour Times" was the one that put them over the top, and spawned too many ... CD
Tricky's 3rd LP of slightly disturbing, leftfield beats with dark, noisy sound he's famous for, with "Lyrics Of Fury", "Piano", "My Evil Is Strong", "Makes Me Wanna Die", "Sex Drive", and "Bad Things". CD
Late in Tricky's career, this LP was yet another soundly rejected by the same critics that had exalted him years before. Like his other records, you either dig this or you don't, and like the other records it's a generally dark and claustrophobic affair. As you might expect, there's an all star ... CD
The Sa-Ra team drops another handful of stellar tracks – great numbers that capably display the range of their modern synth funk groove – in a DJ friendly double CD set with instrumentals and acapella versions! The first disc features the unique Sa-Ra shine on the great "Second ... CD
Calibro 35 have always had a soundtrack style to their music – but here, they seem to hit an even trippier, spacier version of the mode – playing an all-live, all-instrumental set that's bubbling over with loads of wonderful elements! Some tracks are still as funky as before, but ... CD
The nice set of club jazz, downtempo, cosmic hip hop, and all around groovy beatcraft blended together by DJ Mark Farina – his 6th volume in the Mushroom Jazz series! Mark does a terrific job here of assembling some of our favorite club grooves from around the globe, and an even better job ... CD
It's been way too long since the last 4 Hero album – but it's definitely been worth the wait, as they're even more focused and fabulous than before! There's a real "instant classic" feel to this record – the kind of feeling that folks must have got when first buying Rotary ... CD
Classic 6-song ep reminding us just how dope Ice Cube was in his heyday. About half the tracks feature classic Bomb Squad production, incing "Jackin' For Beats", the original, and still the best, track about stealing other MC's samples (featuring samples from LL, PE, EPMD, and more). ... CD
