This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We only use the grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs.
This all-encompassing grade was chosen it because we only buy and offer
used CDs in the best possible condition.
When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or
defects we will describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs),
so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.
All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly.
If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.
The cover of this album by Blood Orange – aka Devonte Hynes – might imply a sort of weary bleakness – but given the quality of the music, the whole thing can't help but elevate our spirits – even if Hynes is digging even deeper than usual with his subject matter! The songs ... CD
Michael Kiwanuka works in a genre that's all his own – definitely soulful, but wrapped around so many other influences too – all with this proud, positive vibe that's gotten the singer a lot more ears than we might have expected just a few short years ago! The record's got plenty of ... CD
The second set for Columbia by evolving R&B great Raphael Saadiq – possibly the best album he's ever done! We were knocked out by the preceding The Way I See It, his neo throwback gem, especially for the way he so masterfully flaunted decades of soul/R&B influences on that album ... CD
A sublime take on the music of Billie Holiday – served up in the tremendous vocals of Jose James! In the notes, James recalls that the music of Holiday is one of his first memories of childhood – and goes onto explain how much her music has meant to him over the years – a ... CD

A boundary skirting set of catchy soul from Asa – a Nigerian-born, Paris-based singer with a sound that's timelessly crafted and easy to love – ranging from rave up pop soul to more delicately layered and stripped down! Asa has just a bit of gravel in her voice, which works great and ... CD
No junkyard jewel here, as Maya Azucena sounds even better on this record than she did on her debut – more focused, more confident, and with a righteous groove that's really incredible! The album has Maya working with a small combo that's mostly acoustic – a mix of guitars, percussion, ... CD
The second outing from vocalist Lizz Wright – done in the same sweetly folksy style as her debut, but in a way that seems to have even more of a focus overall. The backing on the set is especially nice – mostly just spare keyboards, bass, and drums, plus some great work on acoustic ... CD
An overlooked third album from Down To The Bone – a set that maybe didn't take the world by storm as much as their first two, but which still has the group very much in fine formation! All the best previous elements are in place here – that strong mix of funky jazz instrumentation with ... CD
Very sharp 2-CD set that brings together some of the best early work by this Japanese acid jazz combo – plus remixes by the likes of The Ballistic Brothers, Fila Brazilia, Forest Mighty Black, and others. One CD's got original tracks – "Off Road", "Fool's Paradise", ... CD
The weirdest work ever from Michael Leonhart – an artist who's worked with Bill Withers, James Brown, Steely Dan, David Byrne, and others in the mainstream – but who's stepping out here as a really enigmatic figure from the psychedelic funk underground! The album's filled with offbeat ... CD
Hypnotic, breezy psychedelia and tripped out tunefulness from Koushik – a record that blends sounds from a palette of colors that is unlike anything we've heard from him or the Stones Throw label – uncategorizable and a pleasant surprise! In a way, the proper Out My Window album is an ... CD
