This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible. All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play
without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove,
you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not,
then you may return it for a full refund.
With our Used CDs, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of
surface marks — clean, and not dirty at all. You can also expect the case to be
clean (we often change the cases ourselves — putting fresh cases on Used CDs we
handle) — and you can expect the booklet to be in good shape, unless noted
otherwise. We will list any specific details/defects underneath the item — so
look for notes on cutout marks in the case, stamps on the barcode, or details like that.
The blistering 1990 EP by NWA – a fanbase divisive and critically underappreciated salvo in its day, despite being a fast seller – and a much sharper piece of work than it was credited for back in the day! NWA as a driven singular force was pretty much a thing of the past by this point, ... CD
The official full length debut from Lupe Fiasco – another wholly unique Chicago MC who's gotten the runaround from seemingly every major label in the biz – and a record that lives up to the long-building hype! Frankly, we were scared almost immediately when we heard the description ... CD

A damn good record by Q-Tip – his first official album of the new millenium (not counting the unfairly mooted Kamaal The Abstract) – featuring both spacey keyboard grooves and some Native Tongues style boom bap! Q-Tip really does kind of pick up where he could have left off years ago, ... CD
A big step forward for Psalm One – possibly the best female MC in Chicago – featuring some of best production we've heard by a number Chi hip hop figures – all of which is to say her sophomore album and debut for Rhymesayers is a damn fine effort all around! We were impressed by ... CD
Is this the last Organized LP, or will they reform? We remember thinking "What happened?" at first when this came out, and though this doesn't get nearly the play that the first LP or Extinction Agenda do on our turntable, it sounds much better than it did at first in retrospect. The ... CD
Lupe Fiasco takes his style a kick & a push deeper than the perceived sunny positivity of his debut on second album The Cool – flashing some biting social criticism – and a sharp brilliance that shows he's too restless to simply coast! The clean, buzzing synth funk orchestra vibe ... CD
Redman's third album – and a mad 90s classic – for both the Funk Doc himself, and for the Def Jam label! By this point, Redman has perfected his wylin'-out blunted rhyme style, spitted over heavy, funkified east coast beats. Much of the production is handled by Erick Sermon & ... CD
16 of Otis Redding's best numbers, pulled together out of the Stax vaults after Atlantic had more or less completely taken over the Memphis label. Includes "I Can't Turn You Loose", "I've Been Loving You Too Long", "Fa-Fa-Fa-Fa-Fa (Sad Song)", "Try A Little ... CD
Although the free funky soul combo Medeski, Martin, & Wood are best known for their Hammond organ grooves – this tasty live set catches them in a slightly different vein, with all acoustic instruments in the band, including piano, bass, melodica, and mbira! The sound is different than ... CD
