Lost In The Ozone

LP (Item 528590) Paramount, 1971 — Condition: Very Good
Originally: 5.99
Contains the track "Seeds & Stems (Again)". With Hoyt Axton, David Bromberg, and the Tower Of Power Horns.  © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Cover has small top seam splits, light surface wear & aging.)

Very Good

  • Vinyl can have some dirt, but nothing major.
  • May not shine under light, but should still be pretty clean, and not too dirty.
  • May have a number of marks (5 to 10 at most), and obvious signs of play, but never a big cluster of them, or any major mark that would be very deep. Most marks should still not click under a fingernail.
  • May not look near perfect, but should play fairly well, with slight surface noise, and the occasional click in part of a song, but never throughout a whole song or more.
  • This is clearly a copy that was played by someone a number of times, but which could also be a good "play copy" for someone new.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Paramount, 1973. Very Good- Gatefold
One of the later albums cut by the Brady Bunch crew – a bit towards the end run of the show, and with a feel that's arguably hipper than some of their other records! The arrangements are by Al Capp, and have a nice bass bounce at the bottom – almost hitting a light funk style at times, ... LP, Vinyl record album
Mercury, 1973. Near Mint-
Hard and heavy guitar rock – kind of in the Thin Lizzy vein, and with a very tasty drummer! Our favorite cut on here is "Spider's Web", which has a great and unusual drum break at the beginning – one that goes on and on and on, with some good guitar fills that sound almost ... Vertigo (UK), 1973. Near Mint-
A set that seems to scream "prog" with the Roger Dean image on the cover and its placement on the Vertigo label – but instead a great batch of acid folk from the glory days of the scene – served up by a core trio with some larger arrangements from Tony Cox, almost evoking an ... Solo Casting
EMI (UK), 1976. Near Mint- Gatefold
The only solo album ever from William Lyall – an artist with ties to 70s UK pop giants Pilot and The Bay City Rollers – although don't hold that latter reference against him, as the music here is much like his work in Pilot! As with that group, the songs here are wonderfully sharp and ... LP, Vinyl record album

Rickie Lee Jones

This early album still has an undeniable power – and was a great breath of fresh air, at a time when it seemed like most of modern music was forgetting its roots! Capitol, 1972. Near Mint-
The sweet second album from the Raspberries! The Rasperries were all about the songcraft, bringing sort of an unpretentious, midwestern charm into original tunes that build from the sophisticated pop of the breezy LA scene – much more so than on the Brit Invasion-learned debut album.
