If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially

This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.
This one's from the late 80s, and although some of the production work doesn't hold up entirely, Milton's voice is more beautiful than ever, and there's some amazing songwriting on here that holds up fantastically no matter how it's treated. Titles include "River Phoenix (Letter To A Young ... CD
A stunning mix of talents that brings the heavenly piano and guitar of Antonio Carlos Jobim into play with the lush, but light arrangements of Claus Ogerman – a swirling mix of post-bossa loveliness that redefines Jobim's sound, and opens up new avenues for exploration in sound! The ... CD
A lovely collection of some of Astrud Gilberto's sweetest work for Verve – some of the warmer, mellower tunes she recorded in the 60s – back when she was the undisputed queen of the bossa scene! The set features a dozen tracks pulled from her classic Verve albums – featuring ... CD
Was there ever anyone groovier than these guys? We don't think so – as Sergio had it all: 2 female singers in the lead, great bossa nova backing, and production on his records that couched the grooves in the pillowy-soft pop style of the A&M studios! This 17 track package isn't much ... CD
A beautiful package – as beautiful as the music of Jobim, and one of the true fitting tributes to his genius! The set is a retrospective of the work of Antonio Carlos Jobim – and it features tracks that stretch back to his early recordings for Verve, CTI, and Philips (from both the US ... CD
A stunning step forward for the great Elis Regina – and a landmark record that would set the stage for most of her final work to come in the 70s! The album's got less of the jazz or bossa inflections of her music from the 60s – and instead moves into this richly sophisticated style ... CD
An amazing early album from Brazilian guitar virtuoso Luiz Bonfa – originally recorded by the audiophile Cook Laboratories on a Nagra recorder – in a spare, stripped-down, "in the field" sort of style! There's an intimacy here that's missing from some of Bonfa's studio ... CD
An excellent bossa session led by pianist Oscar Castro-Neves and his band, and recorded during the blitz of early bossa sessions by the Audio Fidelity label! The group's a large one, but not too large to lose the groove – and Castro-Neves put the whole thing together so that the album's ... CD
A wonderful live date from the team of Flora Purim and Airto Moreira – recorded at a time when Flora was working more in an R&B style on records, but done in a soaring, jazzy vibe that's like the duo's best work from earlier in the 70s! Tracks are long, and this beautiful blend of ... CD
A groundbreaking collaboration from the start of the century – the union of three of Brazil's most important artists of the decade before – coming together in a mode that's even deeper than any of their previous albums as solo acts! There's clearly a Tropicalia inspiration taking place ... CD
