If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible. All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play
without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove,
you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not,
then you may return it for a full refund.
With our Used CDs, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of
surface marks — clean, and not dirty at all. You can also expect the case to be
clean (we often change the cases ourselves — putting fresh cases on Used CDs we
handle) — and you can expect the booklet to be in good shape, unless noted
otherwise. We will list any specific details/defects underneath the item — so
look for notes on cutout marks in the case, stamps on the barcode, or details like that.
One of the best CDs of gamelan music you could hope to find! While not as straightly ethnographic as some of the other gamelan CDs on the market, this selection of 9 tracks recorded in Bali is some of the most compelling work we've ever heard on the instrument. Engineer David Lewiston does an ... CD
2 of Fela's rarest from the 70's, out now on one Japanese CD! Tight funky African grooves, spread out over 4 long classics – "Zombie", "Mr. Follow Follow", "Na Poi", and "You No Go Die Unless You Want Die". "Na Poi" is one of the sexiest ... CD
Great stuff! This killer set pairs I.T.T., one of Fela's most memorable 70's albums, with the harder to find Opposite People set. Both albums are great, and they've got prime choppy Afro-funk grooves from the master of the genre! We almost never see these on vinyl, and although the CD's a bit ... CD
Mindblowing work from the legendary Fela – definitely at the top of his game here, and brimming over with energy supplied by the Africa 70 ensemble! The tracks are long and freewheeling – but never without a sense of direction – as every ounce of the music is devoted to serving ... CD
A brilliant album from Fela – and one that shows him really coming into his own, with that tremendous new sound that would go onto influence decades of musicians! The title track – "Roforofo Fight" – is a side-long jam that instantly sets a new standard for African funk ... CD
