Don't go looking for this one in the discographies and record catalogs – because the album's actually a collection of material issued on earlier Johnny Smith 10" albums for Roost – brought together here in a wonderfully unified album! The sessions feature Smith in a great two-guitar format – one that has Perry Lopez playing rhythm guitar next to Johnny's lead – in a style that's got all these great cascading tones and flowing lines – perfect for the light touch that Smith brought to the hollow body at the time. Bass is by Arnold Fishkin and drums are by Don Lamond – and the album features a great original recording of Smith's composition "Walk Don't Run" (later made famous by The Ventures) – plus the tracks "What's New", "Easy To Love", "Someone To Watch Over Me", "Lullaby Of Birdland", "How About You", and "Stranger In Paradise". © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.

All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.
