Disco Dancing/Heritage/Feel The Fire

12-inch (Item 521694) Fantasy, 1978 — Condition: Very Good+
(In a plain sleeve.)

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Fantasy, 1977. Near Mint- (pic cover)
Two great smooth disco classics from Sylvester – both of which are way better than his tinny 80s work, and which have some soulful finishes that really make them sparkle! "Over & Over" is especially great – a 9 minute version of the Ashford and Simpson tune that really ... 12-inch, Vinyl record

Fantasy, 1980. Near Mint-
A killer club cut from Idris Muhammad! "For Your Love" is a sweet soulful little tune with a jazzy finish and nice female vocals – and a bottom-thumping groove that's totally great – hard, but not in a funky way – and proof that Muhammad's always got a great ear for ... 12-inch, Vinyl record

Kind of an "afro funk meets disco track" – with some clubby elements in the mix, and other nice moments that feature breakout heavy percussion and chanting. 12-inch, Vinyl record
CTI, 1976. Near Mint- (pic cover)
A nice CTI single – one that features a sparkling medley of "Summertime" and "2001" – done by George Benson with full orchestral backdrop, in a way that builds nicely as the tune goes on! The track starts mellow, with George singing beautifully on the start – ... 12-inch, Vinyl record

Cotillion, 1981. Very Good+
"Snap Shot" is a funky groover lifted from the group's Showtime album – with a tight fast funky bassline, dancing around so fast it would make Michael Jackson weep just to keep up with it! Nice and smooth, with a great hook too! 12-inch, Vinyl record
4th & Broadway, 1985. Very Good+
Patrick Adams really helps give Skipworth & Turner a groove on this one – a groove that's tight, midtempo, and stepping in a warm flourish of keyboards and beats!
