Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.
The Brand New Heavies never seem to lose their power at all – and while it might show our age a bit to say we've been digging these guys for 25 years, we're still very proud to be keeping tabs on their music! This time around, BNH work at a level that still has all the great funky touches of ... CD
Excellent compilation that brings together 17 of the best early cuts by this legendary Acid Jazz combo. The BNH were one of the first – and certainly one of the best – groups to wave the flag of the acid jazz movement in the late 80s, and their perfect tight style of jazz funk has gone ... CD
15 tracks from one of the best jazz funk bands of the past 25 years! The Brand New Heavies have a wonderful sound that mixes 70s jazz funk with a tight modern soul groove – never sleepy, and infused with all the best energy of older groups. They first sprung into being in the early days of ... CD
The Brand New Heavies are heavier than ever here – heard in a sweet set of club tracks and remixes from their big early 90s years on the US market – all with the sort of grooves that helped them cross over big at the time! The core, classic funk that the Brand New Heavies first brought ... CD
A key addition to any collection of The Brand New Heavies! The set features remixes of some of the group's best tracks, plus a few older and rarer cuts, and some other favorites. Titles include "Mind Trips (BNH rmx)", "Bang", "Brother Sister (Angel rmx)", "Keep ... CD
Amazing work from the Brand New Heavies – sounding better here than they have in years! The album's a stone winner all the way through – with a solid funky sound that bubbles with beats at the bottom, and also adds in a lot of elements that we never would have expected! One of these ... CD
The original Brand New Heavies – with their first singer in place, Jay Ella Ruth! Although Ruth appeared on the original UK version, her vocals were replaced on the US (Delicious Vinyl) version by N'Dea Davenport. That album was also re-recorded – and the original British mix sounds a ... CD
An overlooked mid 90s set from The Brand New Heavies – not as hitbound as some of their earlier work, but still plenty darn great – recorded with a strong emphasis on the vocals, and a no-nonsense soul sound that's always refreshing! There's one or two instrumentals on the album, but ... CD
N'Dea Davenport returns to the Brand New Heavies – and the result is one of the greatest records from the group in many many years! The sound's here is totally wonderful – a real return to the classic funk of the Brand New Heavies' roots – and having N'Dea back in the vocal chair ... CD
