Atomic Rooster IV

LP (Item 519805) Elektra, 1973 — Condition: Very Good+
(Includes Elektra inner sleeve. A nice copy.)

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Happy Sad
Elektra, Late 60s. Near Mint-
One of Tim Buckley's greatest albums ever – thanks to some incredible work by Dave Friedman on vibes! Butterfield Blues Band

Keep On Moving
Elektra, Late 60s. Very Good+
A fantastic funky record from the Butterfield Blues Band – a set that's much less in the blues style from which the group took their name, and very strongly in the hipper mixed-up blend of styles that were happening on the Cali scene at the end of the 60s! Paul still leads the group on ... LP, Vinyl record album

Love

Love
Elektra, 1966. Very Good
Love's first album – a seminal bit of Sunset Strip rock, and every bit as powerful today as it was in the 60s! The style's a bit sharper-edged than the group's classic and more familiar Forever Changes set, but it's still pretty darn great – a completely fresh batch of guitar-heavy ... LP, Vinyl record album

Angel Heart
Columbia, 1982. Near Mint-
A later set from the great Jimmy Webb – the crucial late 60s songwriter who created so many hits for other people before finally stepping out on his own! Captain Beefheart

Safe As Milk
Buddah, 1967. Near Mint-
Mindblowing music from Captain Beefheart & The Magic Band – a record that's got plenty of garagey grit at the core, but which also has a heady freak rock vibe overall!
