Dirt Dog's 2nd album is a little more schizophrenic, twisted, and under the influence than his first. It sounds a little more inspired by Rick James and Flavor Flav, as raw dog as a hip hopper can shimmy without getting arrested. Tracks include "Cold Blooded", "Rollin Wit You", "Gettin High", "You Don't Want To F**k With Me", "Dirt Dog", "I Can't Wait", "Recognize" featuring a cameo by Chris Rock, the summer party bumper "Got Your Money" featuring the sweet vocals of Kelis, "Good Morning Heartache" featuring Lil' Mo, the title track, and more. We realize that there are many different interpretations of the standard grades used for pre-owned vinyl record albums & CD, so we thought we'd offer you the ones that we are working with, so you have an idea what we mean when we give the grade for a non-new item on our pages.

Used Vinyl Grades

Below are stated conditions for a used vinyl records at Dusty Groove. Grading for the cover should be assumed to be near (within a "+" or "-") the grading for the vinyl. If there is significant divergence from the condition of the vinyl, or specific flaws, these will be noted in the comments section of the item. However, please be aware that since the emphasis of this site is towards the music listener, our main concern is with the vinyl of any used item we sell. Additionally, please note that all of our records are graded visually; considering the volume of used vinyl we handle, it is impossible for us to listen to each record. If we spot any significant flaws, we make every attempt to listen through them and note how they play.

The following grading conditions apply to the vinyl component of an album or single:

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Eyes On This
First Priority, 1989. Very Good
MC Lyte's second full length record – a bit overlooked in the grand scheme, if only because the preceding Lyte As A Rock was a tough act to follow – so now's a great time to catch up with it! To our ears, Eyes On This is every bit as nice as the debut, and it that last of Lyte's no ... LP, Vinyl record album

Cold Chillin, 1989. Very Good
Surprisingly nice album from the late 80s, with tight Marley Marl production that sounds great on tracks like "Knockin' Hiney", "Fatal Attraction", "Go On Girl", and "Live On Stage". LP, Vinyl record album

West Street Mob
Sugar Hill, 1981. Very Good- Gatefold
One of Sugar Hill's more electro oriented groups – more famous for their breakdance cuts than their hip hop ones. We never gave these guys much credit at the time, but over the years, they've really grown on us – thanks to insistence by some of their vocal fans! Titles include "Le ... LP, Vinyl record album
