A very odd little record – and almost more of an audio version of the classic schlock-horror film Plan 9, than it is a proper soundtrack! The album seems to offer up the full audio track from the film – with spoken bits, music, and sound effects firmly in place – almost even spookier without the images to go with them! The recording's a relic from the pre-DVD years, when you could actually release a record like this to fans of a movie that wasn't easily in circulation – but given the dramatic nature of the whole thing, it almost works well in kind of an old-time radio way.  © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Used CD Grade

We only use the grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs. This all-encompassing grade was chosen it because we only buy and offer used CDs in the best possible condition.

When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves), and the booklet to be in good shape. Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or defects we will describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs), so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.

All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.

Nice tune! The groovy main theme to this one far outlived the film, and showed up all over the place in the 60s – on instrumental theme records, TV spoofs, and other oddball sources. The rest of the score's pretty great, too – and features some compelling orchestrations by Bernstein, ... CD
Intrada, 1989. Used
A great Jerry Goldsmith score from the mid 60s – penned for a western, but with a sensitivity that's much more like some of his best dramatic work of the time! There's some wonderful use of woodwinds and strings in the lineup – often with the sense of mature color and tone that Jerry ... CD

A spooky little soundtrack, with some slight erotic moments as well – all scored for a schlocky Italian film starring an ex-patriot Farley Granger! The story centers around an investigation of an earlier rape and murder – and the music does a good deal to underscore the mix of sexual ... CD

A really wild soundtrack to a really wild film – a movie set in pagan Rome, and one of the most offbeat Fellini films to ever hit the screen – which is quite a lot, given the director's other oeuvre! Nino Rota really steps up with his soundtrack here – and breaks the mold of his ... CD
