Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.
Brilliant work – John Coltrane really opening up in his new spiritual mode of the 60s, hinting at the changes to come, while still keeping the modal groove of previous recordings! The record features tracks from a few different sessions from the years 1961 to 1963, but it holds together ... CD
Featuring George Bohanon, Michael Brecker, Randy Brecker, Chick corea, Russell Ferrante, Chuck Findley, Dave Grusin, BB King, Ramsey Lewis, Eric Marienthal, Bob Mintzer, John Patitucci, Nelson Rangell, Arturo Sandoval, Tom Scott, Ernie Watts, and Dave Weckl. CD
One of the more unusual albums on Impulse – and a beautiful session that's filled with surprises you wouldn't expect! Elvin Jones leads a group of well-chosen bandmates in a hip set of tracks that's sort of a "letter" to Coltrane – with groupings that include either Roland ... CD
A landmark album of vocal jazz – and one of the few sessions that John Coltrane ever cut with a singer! In a way, the album's more Hartman's than it is Coltrane's – given that Johnny's warm, mellow style of singing isn't as free and open as Trane at his most adventurous – but at ... CD
Includes the songs "Too Bad", "Snag It (First Version)", "Deep Henderson", "Jackass Blues", "Sugar Foot Stomp", "Wa Wa Wa", "Tack Annie", "Someday Sweetheart", "Dead Man Blues", "New Wang Wang Blues" ... CD
Sharp-edged John Coltrane at his best – a record that we'd rank right up there with Love Supreme, and which is a key transition point in Coltrane's musical ideas! There's a very strong edge to Coltrane's tone here – and even on the mellower ballads, he plays with a sound not always ... CD
One of the coolest, grooviest settings for the Hammond of Mike LeDonne that we've heard in years – a set that mostly features him working with a larger ensemble, at a level that brings back some of the great 60s sessions from Jimmy Smith and Oliver Nelson! Yet given Mike's touch on the keys, ... CD
An intense album of spiritual jazz tracks – played by Lon Moshe and the Southern Freedom Arkestra – maybe one of the only albums we've ever seen by this lesser-known vibist! The album was recorded in 1976, during the height of the Black Fire DC underground scene – and Moshe's ... CD
