(Cover is faded a bit along the spine.)

Sealed

This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap. We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time, we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape — which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played, the record will still qualify as "Sealed".

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Cadet, 1967. Sealed
Sweet LA soul jazz from trumpeter Bobby Bryant – an oft-overlooked player with a hard hitting sound that was a bit like Nat Adderley! Oliver Nelson

Afro/American Sketches

Osamu
Island, 1977. Very Good+

Jazz Modes
Atlantic, 1959. Very Good+
One of the rarest albums by this fantastic combo from the late 50s! The sound shouldn't work, but it does, and beautifully – ... LP, Vinyl record album

Shorty Rogers

Jazz Waltz
Reprise, 1961. Near Mint-

Steady B

What's My Name
Jive, 1987. Good
Steady B's second major label album, but still in the mid 80s Pop Art style, proving you don't need much more than two turntables, a drum machine and a mic to make good hip hop. Okay, maybe some fly Cazals and Fila track suit. 12 tracks in all, including "The Hilltop", "Don't ... LP, Vinyl record album
