This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible. All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play
without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove,
you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not,
then you may return it for a full refund.
With our Used CDs, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of
surface marks — clean, and not dirty at all. You can also expect the case to be
clean (we often change the cases ourselves — putting fresh cases on Used CDs we
handle) — and you can expect the booklet to be in good shape, unless noted
otherwise. We will list any specific details/defects underneath the item — so
look for notes on cutout marks in the case, stamps on the barcode, or details like that.
A bigger and more uniquely soulful sound for Triple P – aka cosmic DJ production duo Platinum Pied Pipers, rechristened as PPP with the addition of vocalists Coultrain and Karma to the group on the wonderful Abundance! The vocals, and a tighter focus on great songs than on an overall vibe, ... CD
A millennial classic from Erykah Badu – a set that came along right as the current century was starting up, to show a soulful path that would keep things strong for many years to come! The album grabbed a bigger audience than Erykah's first, but still kept things strong – really ... CD
The second outing from vocalist Lizz Wright – done in the same sweetly folksy style as her debut, but in a way that seems to have even more of a focus overall. The backing on the set is especially nice – mostly just spare keyboards, bass, and drums, plus some great work on acoustic ... CD
The soulful vocalist of Incognito strikes out on her own – serving up an excellent debut LP! This one's got a bit more of a modern R&B approach than the jazzier work of Incognito – but still stays in the hip London soul mode, thanks to some great production work by Ray Hayden of ... CD
New work by Topaz – the New York funky sax player who just keep getting better and better! This is Topaz's third full length set – and it's an excellent batch of smooth funky instrumentals, extremely well played, with a production tip that recalls mainstream jazz funk classics of the ... CD
The group's second real album, and one that never manages to totally capture the groove of the first – but which still has some pretty great writing and playing that set it apart from most of the soul of its generation! The cut "Dream On Dreamer" is one of those early 90s groovers ... CD
Wayna's as much a poet as she is a singer – and has these wonderfully visual lyrics that are a great contrast to some of the sweeter sounds of the Neo Soul generation! There's a simple, effective power to the set that doesn't really grab you at first listen – mostly because Wayna's ... CD
The best album yet from Anthony Hamilton – one of major label soul's saving graces of the mid 00s – and one of the few cats out there making records that melds an organic groove with production that's crisp & poppin'! Anthony's songs dip into the time-honored soul style of songs ... CD
Excellent compilation that brings together 17 of the best early cuts by this legendary Acid Jazz combo. The BNH were one of the first – and certainly one of the best – groups to wave the flag of the acid jazz movement in the late 80s, and their perfect tight style of jazz funk has gone ... CD
Herbie reinvents himself for the 21st Century – and ends up turning out one of his most compelling albums in years! As with his Future Shock years, Herbie's working here with Bill Laswell – but if that scares you a bit (it did us!), don't worry, because Laswell's much more in the ... CD
