Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Was there a bigger dancefloor track than this at the end of the 80s? We'd be hard pressed to think so – as Louis' uniquely grooved slow/then fast/then slow/then slower style really made the track an instant classic – loved by house fans and chart kids alike, and still actually ... 12-inch, Vinyl record

Kashif penned this catchy little tune for Evelyn Champagne King – really helping her find her groove in the 80s with a sweet flurry of electric beats, keyboard parts, and plenty of bass! An 80s groove classic! "Outstanding" has some wonderful funky grooves and a killer 80s sound that's complete with very fat bass pedal grooves, and some tight keyboard work! The hook's a monster, and this rare single offers up 2 versions not on the LP! 12-inch, Vinyl record

Well, you know you want it for the b-side, and you hardly need us to tell you anything about it. "Celebration" was probably the group's most enduring mainstream track, for better or for worse. 12-inch, Vinyl record

A Latin soul classic, edited, remixed and extended! "Low Rider" is one of War's best songs ever – a chugging, popping, riffing little tune that musically sums up the feel of a Low Riding street machine, hydraulics all set to go, bumping up and down at an intersection! One of the most romping tunes ever recorded by Prince – the kind of cut that was an instant dancefloor stormer back in the day, and still sounds mighty groovy all these many years later!
