This album was only Curtis Lundy's second as a leader – recorded after a 10 year hiatus, and featuring a real return to the brilliance of his early career. The soulful bassist is at the height of his powers here – writing and arranging with a depth that we never thought possible, crafting a record that shines with the best of the 70s soul jazz classics on Strata East or Black Jazz. He's got plenty of great help on the record, too – as players include Bobby Watson, Peven Everett, John Hicks, and Roy Hargrove – and best of all, sister Carmen sings vocals on three tracks, all of which are great, and stand as some of the finest soul jazz vocal numbers we've heard in ages! All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.
