Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Used CD Grade

We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD". This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer Used CDs in the best shape possible.

When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves), and the booklet to be in good shape. Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs — so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.

All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.

Planet Of The Apes TV Series
La La Land, 1974. Used 2 CDs
Pretty great work for the short-lived Planet Of The Apes TV show in the 70s – a brief spinoff of the films, done with a surprisingly similar style – and with some excellent soundtrack music that's really a cut above the usual for the time! The bulk of the music here is by Lalo Schifrin ... CD

Cinevox (Japan), 1962. Used
A fantastic lost soundtrack from Michel Legrand! The score is a lightly jazzy one, done for a film starring Jeanne Moreau and directed by Joseph Losey – and the music's a perfect blend of Legrand's earlier straighter jazz work, with some of his later talent for groovy orchestrations. The ... CD

An enduring Mancini classic! And although it's probably best remembered for the sleepy theme "Moon River", the score's actually got some pretty fantastic groovy numbers with a very different feel. These include the lovely "Sally's Tomato", one of our fave melodies ever from ... CD
Intrada, 1962. Used
One of the greatest Henry Mancini soundtracks of the 60s – and a record that showed the world that he could do a lot more than just crime jazz and groovy tunes! The title track is a well-known gem from the Mancini songbook – perfect for the bittersweet, melancholy of the film – ... CD

A surprisingly nice album – a return to the territory covered by Lalo Schifrin in his classic 60s album Schifrin/Sade, originally issued on Verve! Like that one, this set has Lalo playing piano and harpischord in jazzed-up tunes with a distinctly baroque feel – almost classical-jazz, ... CD
