This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We only use the grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs.
This all-encompassing grade was chosen it because we only buy and offer
used CDs in the best possible condition.
When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or
defects we will describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs),
so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.
All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly.
If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.
The title only partly gives the record away – because the set's not just comprised of favorites of guitarist Max Light and saxophonist Noah Preminger – it also includes some well-done original material by the pair! Yet even the covers are hardly served up in familiar ways – as ... CD
Moody and introspective piano work from Richie Beirach – recorded solo at Masonic Temple in New York, with tones that echo beautifully around the room! Beirach's really set free on the keys here – sometimes stretching out at length, other times keeping things more precise and ... CD
Maybe one of the greatest jazz albums of all time – a real breakthrough moment for the legendary John Coltrane, and the blueprint for generations of jazz records to come! Trane was already breaking down plenty of boundaries before Love Supreme – but he knocked it out of the park for ... CD
Coronetist Rob Mazurek is one of the current leading lights in Chicago's booming underground jazz scene, and this seminal Delmark release features Mazurek's Chicago Underground Orchestra that includes other Windy City talents like guitarist Jeff Parker, drummer Chad Taylor, and bassist Chris Lopes. ... A wonderful set by Derk Reklaw – an overlooked Chicago musican from the 70s, and a player with credits that also include work in the legendary Pharoahs! The feel here is relatively in a spiritual 70s soul jazz mode – and Derf's working with ex-bandmates from the Chicago scene, plus a ... CD
A completely unique little session – and a record that's every bit as musically striking as you might guess from its title and cover! The date's a rare Latin-tinged one for trumpeter Kenny Dorham – a record that takes his usually smooth sound and sets it up against octet backings with ... CD
A landmark album of vocal jazz – and one of the few sessions that John Coltrane ever cut with a singer! In a way, the album's more Hartman's than it is Coltrane's – given that Johnny's warm, mellow style of singing isn't as free and open as Trane at his most adventurous – but at ... CD
