Used CD Grade
We only use the grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs.
This all-encompassing grade was chosen it because we only buy and offer
used CDs in the best possible condition.
When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or
defects we will describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs),
so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.
All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly.
If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.
2 great Paris live sets from Gerry Mulligan – with his Concert Jazz Band at L'Olympia in 1960 – followed by a 1962 quartet set at the same venue serving as bonus tracks! The 11 titles on the first CD and the first titles on the second CD are culled from the 1960 set – a tight ... CD
Gerry Mulligan brings the piano back in nicely here – but in a way that still hangs onto all the best modern tones of his earlier Pacific Jazz sessions! The date's a live one – done at Storyville in Boston – but the sound is wonderfully intimate, with Gerry on baritone sax and ... CD
Fantastic small group sides from Gerry Mulligan and Chet Baker – includes three discs worth of material from the original 1952/1953 sessions, the 1957 reunion, plus a fourth disc featuring work with Lee Konitz and with vocalist Annie Ross. 82 tracks total! CD
A sweet little large group session from Gerry – a bit harder swinging than some of his mid 50s small group work, but still with that mellifluous glide that's the trademark Mulligan sound! Arrangements are by some great talnets – including Al Cohn, Johnny Mandel, and Bob Brookmeyer, who ... CD
Features Phil Woods on alto saxophone, Dean Johnson on bass, Ron Vincent on drums, John Clark on french horn, John Lewis on piano, Dave Bargeron on trombone, Wallace Roney on trumpet, and Bill Barber on tuba. CD
One of the most adventurous records we've heard from Wayne Shorter in years – a collection of live recordings made in Europe in the summer of 2001, featuring a free-thinking group that includes Danilo Perez on piano, John Patitucci on bass, and Brian Blade on drums. The sound here is almost ... CD
Beautiful early work from John Klemmer – one of the most under-rated talents of his generation, and a great player who frequently gets overlooked because of his later, smoother work. This album is Klemmer's first – recorded with a soulful Chicago tenor sound, touched with some of the ... CD
JJ Johnson on trombone, Don Sickler on flugelhorn, Dan Faulk on soprano and tenor saxophone, Reneee Rosenes on piano, Rufus Reid on bass, and Victor Lewis on drums. CD
One of Oscar Peterson's biggest records ever – one of those albums we turn up time and time again when digging through classic jazz collections – and for good reason too, given the lasting power of the set! The album's got a rock-solid sound that's filled with soul – almost a bit ... CD
A tremendous collection of work by Art Tatum – maybe even THE collection of work by Art Tatum – as the 2CD set brings together all the material that appeared on the legendary 20th Century Fox albums by Art – recorded in a private home in Hollywood late in his career, but at a time ... CD
Short tracks with a spare swinging groove – featuring the trumpet of Eldridge, with backing by Ronnie Ball on piano, Benny Moten on bass, and Edward Locke on drums. The focus is on Eldridge's lightly playful trumpet style – and tracks include "Song Of the Islands", "Bossa ... CD
