This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.
Beautiful quintet material by Donald Byrd, and a record that has him breaking from his stock hardbop of his early years, to hit the more spiritual groove that would show up on later albums. The group's very tasty – and Wayne Shorter's on tenor and Herbie Hancock's on piano. Includes a great ... CD
A beautiful little session from one of the greatest guitarists ever! The album's part of Blue Note's tendency to "churchify" Grant Green on some albums – giving his guitar a gospelly groove that has some nicely soulful connotations – but it's also a record that's maybe the ... CD
Essential – collects 11 tracks from the albums Sonny Rollins Vols 1 & 2, Newk's Time, and A Night At The Village Vanguard. Features work by Art Blakey, Wynton Kelly, Donald Byrd, Max Roach, and others. CD
An album that's smoother than some of Ronnie's earlier work, and perhaps without the same dark edge – but still a nice batch of soulful fusion tunes, with production by Wayne Henderson, in his classic 70s At-Home Productions mode! By that, we mean that a number of the tracks have a good ... CD
Tracks include "Minor's Holiday", "Lotus Flower", "Mexico City", "Philly Twist", "Blue Bossa", "Short Story", "Una Mas", and "The Fox". Features work by Joe Henderson, Elvin Jones, Herbie Hancock, Kenny Burrell, ... CD
A bold statement of power from one of the most legendary versions of the Jazz Messengers – that incredible quintet that featured Lee Morgan on trumpet, Wayne Shorter on tenor, and Bobby Timmons on piano! The title's an indication of the righteous territory in which the group is working ... CD
A warmly melodic session from Blue Note's greatest guitarist! The sound of the set's as evocative as the title – an idle moment of space between the notes, explored by Green's tight single-note work on guitar – and wonderfully supported by a lineup that includes Joe Henderson, Bobby ... CD
One of the greatest Art Blakey Blue Note sessions of all time – and perhaps one of the greatest to realize the genius of the Jazz Messengers lineup that included Lee Morgan on trumpet, Wayne Shorter on tenor, and Bobby Timmons on piano! The trio of young talents are at the height of their ... CD
Excellent postwar material by American jazzmen in Sweden – a scene that was wonderfully receptive to our best bop styles! Includes material by Chubby Jackson & His Fifth Dimensional Jazz Group – with Conte Candoli on trumpet, Frank Socolow on tenor, Terry Gibbs on vibes, and Lou ... CD
Miles Davis and his Quartet doing their thing at the 1963 Monterey Jazz Fest – a previously unreleased set that finds Miles & Co in peak live form! The group isn't out to set the world on fire with this performance, but they're certainly pushing the form and structure of modern jazz in a ... CD
