Forever For Always For Love

LP (Item 510465) Epic, 1982 — Condition: Near Mint-
Titles include "Better Love", "Promise Me", "She Loves Me Back", "Once You Know How", "Bad Boy/Having A Party", and "Since I Lost My Baby".  © 1996-2023, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Includes the printed inner sleeve. A great copy!)

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Michael Jackson

Thriller
Epic, 1982. Very Good Gatefold
Arguably the last true moment of genius in Michael Jackson's career – a record that sold a bazillion copies around the world – and for plenty good reason! Michael's still working here with Quincy Jones – in territory that steps nicely from the Off The Wall groove, into territory ... LP, Vinyl record album

Sly & The Family Stone

Stand!
Epic, 1968. Very Good Gatefold
Hard to find a stronger early album by Sly – as this one has him still funking hard, but also getting his soul bag together a bit more, hitting some really righteous vibes that mix together politics and partying in an incredibly seductive way. The album's filled with anthemic numbers like ... LP, Vinyl record album

Teena Marie

Robbery
Epic, 1983. Very Good
Teena Marie steps out strongly on her own – really knocking it out of the park on this initial album for CBS – entirely written, arranged, and produced by Lady T! The grooves are as funky as before, but possibly have a leaner quality overall – a tighter 80s groove approach to the ... LP, Vinyl record album

Staple Singers

Pray On
Epic, Mid 60s. Very Good
Rootsy material recorded for Epic in the 60s, before the group went over to Stax and started cutting secular soul! Michael Jackson

Off The Wall
Epic, 1979. Very Good+ Gatefold
This 1979 solo album by Michael is a killer batch of soul grooves – one of his best moments ever, and a crowning cap to a stellar 70s run – both as a younger solo act, and with the whole Jackson family! Quincy Jones produced, and the album's got a funky undercurrent that's really ... LP, Vinyl record album

Sly & The Family Stone

Dance To The Music (70s pressing)
Epic, 1968. Very Good+
Classic funkiness from Sly & The Family Stone – an album that really pushed them to the top of their game, and exploded on the late 60s scene like a righteous funky bomb! The title cut's a mega-hit that you'll recognize right away – but the whole album's great, and is filled with ... LP, Vinyl record album

Elgins

Darling Baby
VIP, 1966. Very Good+
The Elgins were a great little group on Motown's VIP label during the 60s – and they had a sweet falsetto soul style that reminds us a lot of the best work by The Miracles during the same time. Lead singer Saundra Edwards has a style that's similar to Smokey Robinson's high vocals – ... LP, Vinyl record album

Lamont Dozier

Right There
Warner, 1976. Very Good+
One of Lamont Dozier's biggest albums of the 70s – a sweet debut for Warner Brothers, but one that still keeps all the best elements of his ABC albums firmly intact!
