Used CD Grade
We only use the grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs.
This all-encompassing grade was chosen it because we only buy and offer
used CDs in the best possible condition.
When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or
defects we will describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs),
so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.
All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly.
If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.
A great little album by Elis – recorded for Warner/Elektra at the end of her career, but very much in the spirit of her classic work for Philips in the 70s. Like so many of those records, this one features arrangements and keyboards by Cesar Camargo Mariano – and the list of tracks is ... CD
Looks like a "greatest hits" set, but it's actually an excellent collection of rare early work from the 60s – featuring a young Elis singing to light bossa and jazz arrangements, in a style that's quite different from her later work. Unfortunately, the package gives no real ... CD
No date on this one – but hearing the music, we're guessing the set's from the late 70s. Elis is singing with Cesar Mariano and his Cia group on most tracks – however a few titles feature Cesar and a trio. Titles include "Travessia", "Vida De Bailarina", "Trist ... CD
A pretty sweet album by Elis – and one of the last she ever did! The arrangements have a bit more of an electric jazz sound than usual – but they actually give her voice a nice sound, and create some nice lush soulful tracks that have a very sweet sound. Cesar Mariano is still on ... CD
Elis Regina never lets us down – as you'll hear on this great record from 1971! The album captures Elis straddling the fence of her styles – one foot in the older jazzy bossa/samba camp, the other in the more sophisticated range of baroque MPB she virtually invented. Her voice is ... CD
An excellent live set from 1974! Gilberto is playing in a fairly stripped down form, and the recording focuses mostly on his soulful singing and choppy acoustic guitar – although there is a larger group on a few tracks that plays electric guitar and keyboards, but never in a way that ... CD
Nice recent live set by this master of Brazilian song! The feel is pretty mellow in the best parts, with Caetano singing soulfully, with only guitar and small backing accompaniment. Some titles have more of a rockish feel, but there's plenty of nice ones with an older mellow sound. Titles ... CD
An incredible moment of genius from Antonio Carlos Jobim – a sublime 70s record that's a huge change from his genius work of the 60s – and which shows that he was really continuing to grow as an artist at the time! The record features one of the best versions of "Aqua De Marco" ... CD
