A great 80s take on the music of Thelonius Monk – and one of the real standouts in a generation when plenty of folks were taking chances with Monk's music! Drummer Paul Motian leads a group that also features Joe Lovano on tenor and Bill Frisell on electric guitar – an instrument that's used here in a snakey sort of way that really spaces out familiar tunes from Thelonious – almost unwinding the angular corners and turning them into more spatially-directed elements. All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.
