A landmark album of free jazz – Peter Brotzmann's first record, and a hard-driving set of material that blows away most avant jazz work from the US at the time! The album takes the energy of the ESP generation, and turns it up more than a few notches – as Brotzmann blows his head off on tenor and baritone, accompanied by Sven Ake Johansson on drums and Peter Kowald on bass. The title is a reference to the inventor of the saxophone – an instrument that Brotzmann pushes way to its limits here – at a level that Adolphe never would have expected! Titles include "For Adolphe Sax", "Sanity", and "Morning Glory". CD features the bonus track "Everything". © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.

All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.
