About as pure a distillation of the talents of both musicians as you could ever hope to get – as the album features just Charlie Haden on bass and Kenny Barron on drums – beautifully recorded at a small club in New York during the 90s! Barron's a genius in such a setting – and is no stranger to this sort of stripped-down approach – and the whole thing is also a reminder that, in a traditional jazz showcase, Haden can come across with a beautifully sensitive tone – especially at this point in his career, when it almost seemed as if he were going back to make up for lost time that he missed, since he first came out of the gate as a modernist! All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.
