Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.
Bebel's second album for Six Degrees – and quite possibly an even better album than the first! Not one to rest on the laurels of her success of recent years, Bebel seems to diverge a bit from the sound of her initial hit – going for a deeper approach to songwriting, and a musical style ... CD
The first-ever record in the Luaka Bop legacy – a massive collection of Brazilian grooves that still serves as one of the best introductions to the music we can think of! Most of the artists here are the bigger names of the MPB generation of the 70s – but many are still very under-repre ... CD
A well-done overview of Brazilian music – one that's certainly not comprehensive, but which is very nicely tuned to the styles that we love! The 3CD set is divided up into different categories for each disc – so that disc 1 features "classic Brazil", the older bossa and jazz-s ... CD
Pretty great sounds from the legendary Antonio Carlos Jobim – an album cut a bit later than his bossa years, but with a darkly sophisticated sound that's pretty darn compelling! The album features larger orchestrations by Claus Ogerman, and in a way, it's similar to the Jobim album on Decca ... CD
The glorious return of Os Mutantes – a recent live performance that marks the group's first new album in many many years! The show was recorded before a very enthusiastic audience in London – at a time when the city was in the throes of a recent new wave of interest in Tropicalia ... CD
An incredible record from Marcos Valle – maybe our favorite-ever of his recent-revival years! The sound here is sublime – a warm blend of funky rhythms, bossa roots, and larger orchestrations – all very much in the spirit of those legendary albums that Valle recorded for ... CD
An important early 90s album from Caetano Veloso, one that marked a strong return to form at the time – and the beginning of growing global influence in years to come! The album features guest work from an array of non-Brazilian talents – including Riyuichi Sakamoto, Melvin Gibbs, Marc ... CD
Really tremendous work from Caetano Veloso – an album as striking as its cover image, and a record that shows that, yet again, Veloso is one of the few of his generation who's kept growing as a creative artist! The sound is wonderful – very similar to the recent albums Ce and Zii & ... CD
An amazing early effort from Brazilian soul hero Tim Maia – one of his greatest ever! Even at this early point in his career, Maia had a fantastically soulful feel in his voice – steeped in influences from American soul greats of the 60s, and recorded here with some great arrangements ... CD
The jazzy genius of Jazztronik gets remixed by the likes of Sunata T Experience, Su Paka Pooh, At Jazz, and Dave Warrin of Naked Music! The CD features 10 tracks that stand as solidly together as any full LP by this excellent Japanese group. Ttiles include "Song Of Bebe (Sunaga T Experience ... CD
