Fina Estampa Ao Vivo

CD (Item 504990) Universal (Brazil), 1995 — Condition: Used

CD

✈
A great little live set – recorded in Rio in 1995, with backings directed by Jaques Morelenbaum, one of Veloso's best collaborators during the 90s. The concert has a very organic approach – mixing instrumentation by a small group of jazz players with some larger arrangements on strings, all used as a platform for Caetano, whose vocals and work on acoustic guitar fit perfectly, no matter what the mood. Titles include "O Plusar", "Cucurrucucu Paloma", "O Samba E O Tango", "Lamento Borincano", "Contigo En La Distancia", "Itapua", and "Vete De Mi".  © 1996-2025, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the CD. This might include, but isn't limited to, scratches, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Used CD Grade

We only use the grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs. This all-encompassing grade was chosen it because we only buy and offer used CDs in the best possible condition.

When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves), and the booklet to be in good shape. Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or defects we will describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs), so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.

All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.

A stunning lost bossa nova soundtrack! The score was penned for the 1967 film Garota De Ipanema (Girl From Ipanema), and although you've heard some of the tracks before in other versions, the overall album is very nice – and is a wonderful tribute to the early days of bossa nova! Jobim and ... CD

A really great live tribute to older bossa – performed by a host of key talents of the 60s, stepping out here with a strength to match their earlier work! The format is respectful and simple – mostly spare jazzy backing behind lightly-crafted vocals – all done in a way that's ... CD

A rare bit of bossa nova from the early 60s – originally only issued in Argentina, but done with the warm grace and mellow groove of Brazil's best work at the time by Joao Gilberto or Carlos Lyra! Like both of those artists, Reginaldo Bessa's a poet in his approach to music – gently ... CD
