Foxes

LP (Item 499229) Casablanca, 1980 — Condition: Sealed
2LP Gatefold
Sweet grooves from this Jodie Foster/Scott Baio pic from the late 70s! Titles include "On The Radio", sung by Donna Summer – plus "Valley Of The Dolls", "Hollywood Dreams", "Fly Too High", and an instrumental take on "Radio" by Giorgio – and "Shake It" by Brooklyn Dreams, "Greedy Man" by Keith Forsey, "20th Century Foxes" by Angel, "Bad Love" by Cher, and "Fly Too High" by Janis Ian. Moroder gets some help from Harold Faltermeyer, too!  © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Sealed

This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap. We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time, we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape — which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played, the record will still qualify as "Sealed".

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Midnight Express
Casablanca, 1978. Near Mint-
It's hard to believe that anyone ever took the electronics of Giorgio Moroder seriously enough to think they'd be the right setting for an intensely dramatic thriller like this – but in the decade when Italian thrillers were doing the same thing, it's kind of easy to see. A nice little Georges Delerue score to this quirky and sentimental film from the mid 60s.
