Not one of the original Vee Jay albums recorded by pianist Wynton Kelly – but a really sweet set that has him stretching out in a live setting recorded by Baltimore's Left Bank Jazz Society in 1968! Wynton's trio – with Ron McClure on bass and Jimmy Cobb on drums – is joined by the great George Coleman on tenor, who really gets a great opportunity to stretch out on the album's long tracks – versions of "On A Clear Day" and "On The Trail" that both run for well over 15 minutes, perfect for the kind of open improvisation that makes Coleman a key player during these years.
