Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.

A killer batch of clubby soul from Esther Williams – done with a great New York sound that' perfectly mixes funk and soul! Esther's maybe best known for some of her funky 45 material, but she sounds great here storming the modern dancefloor too – often coming across with a glow that's ... CD

A mix of bassy funk and mainstream electro grooving from Tease – the RCA album from the group, and a record that seems to share a lot with the Minneapolis groove of Prince and The Time! In fact, there's a partyful snapping quality to most of the tracks here that's very much in the Morris Day ... CD
A smoking-hot batch of 80s soul from Nona Hendryx – and a record that really helped reinvent her sound for a whole new generation! Nona's wisely teamed here with Bill Laswell and Material – with whom she'd worked on previous projects under their name – and Laswell's street-sensiti ... CD
A nice reissue which brings together 3 LPs by one of the most underrecognized talents of 70's soul! DJ's deep soul voice is smooth and mellow, with the kind of honest heartbreaking quality that you find in the best work by Donny Hathaway and Stevie Wonder. It's Good To Be Alive finds DJ in a ... CD
They're not the same FCC that controls the airwaves in the US – but instead, the Funky Communications Committee – who work here with some great southern production from the team of Clayton Ivey and Terry Woodford! The record's got a glow that's kind of post-Muscle Shoals – maybe ... CD
An early classic from LaBelle – wonderful vocals mixed with both heavy funk and laidback spacey soul touches! The group had really hit their stride by this point – as the trio of Nona Hendryx/Sarah Dash/Patti Labelle push way past their girl group roots – and even some of the ... CD
Crisp, clubby soul from Fonzi Thornton – again working with Robert Wright – and solid 80s groove set that doesn't really get enough love! The 80s bubbling synth sound is in full effect here, but the album holds up pretty well by simply being better than a lot of what was coming out at ... CD
A sweet bit of electro soul from the 80s – served up here by a trio who are heavy on keyboard sounds, but also get some warmer elements from an array of other musicians who help out on the set! The tunes have a nicely punched-up vibe – catchy 80s soul, but without any too commercial ... CD
Five Star definitely rock the world with this late 80s classic – an upbeat batch of super-catchy tunes that has the group working at their best crossover mode! There's plenty of bassy bits to bump up the bottom of the groove nicely – perfect for the peppy vocals that percolate through ... CD
