This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible. All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play
without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove,
you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not,
then you may return it for a full refund.
With our Used CDs, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of
surface marks — clean, and not dirty at all. You can also expect the case to be
clean (we often change the cases ourselves — putting fresh cases on Used CDs we
handle) — and you can expect the booklet to be in good shape, unless noted
otherwise. We will list any specific details/defects underneath the item — so
look for notes on cutout marks in the case, stamps on the barcode, or details like that.
The Meters take their Crescent City groove in a slightly different direction – giving things a warmer, sunnier feel than their previous records – and bringing in a fair bit more vocals, too – yet still keeping all the right funky elements at the bottom! The move is a bit like ... CD
A love letter from R Kelly – and one that feels warmer, deeper, and more sincere than most of his work from the past decade or so! We always love Kelly – we have to, given our hometown affiliation – but this set's a great reminder of what first made him stand out back in the 90s ... CD
Although we have to admit that we're mostly partial to Jon Lucien's early work for RCA, this collection does a good job of spanning his whole career, while still keeping the quality level high! Jon's voice never faltered in all the years of his recording work – and as this 17 track set will ... CD
A huge discovery in vocal group material from the 50s – served up in this excellent series of tracks from the vaults of LA's Modern Records label! Most folks associate the early vocal group sounds with the east coast or Chicago scenes of the postwar years – but there was also plenty of ... CD
Another incredible volume in the Soulful Thangs series – easily one of the greatest for late nite soul and rare harmony vocals! The package has a beautifully drifting sound throughout – that mellow as mellow can be soul that was made most perfectly at the end of the 60s and into the ... CD
A tasty set of Jackie's more famous singles for Brunswick – and a lot more hard hitting than some of his other full LPs for the label at the time! Titles include "Lonely Teardrops", "Baby Workout", "Higher & Higher", "Whispers (Gettin' Louder)", ... CD
A 2 CD live set from the legendary Gil Scott-Heron – captured sometime in the 80s, featuring some of his legendary righteous jazz funk numbers in the 70s, plus some of his lesser-known, even more pointedly political numbers from the 80s! The arrangements are clean, and very jazzy on this set ... CD
An excellent collection of work by Mighty Hannibal – aka King Hannibal, aka Hannibal – a great soul singer from the sock-boogaloo late 60s years! At his prime, Hannibal recorded some excellent singles that have a finger-popping funky feel – very tight combo instrumentation mixed ... CD
There's never been a better bit of pop throwaway dancefloor fodder ever! Sure, these guys were blaring out of every cheap radio at the time, and it was just about impossible to walk into a shopping mall without hearing "Groove Is In The Heart" for about 5 years after the album came out ... CD
