Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.
Great work from one of the freshest new voices around – the lovely Sy Smith! Sy's got a cosmically-inflected musical vision here – one that seems to borrow bits from the London and Philly underground, but deliver an overall groove that's got plenty of sunny soulful touches! Sy uses ... CD
The lovely lady from the Young Disciples steps out on her own – making the move to a solo act that so many other Brit female soul singers were doing at the time! Luckily, Carleen's got a voice that really holds up to such a shift – stretching out here on some wonderful tracks that show ... CD
Leela James burst proudly back on the scene with a killer debut for Stax Records – a set that comes across with a lot deeper sound than her previous records for other labels – proof that the newly revived Stax is a very good thing! Production is by a handful of different talents – ... CD
The close knit modern soul of Kindred The Family Soul – grooving on as warmly and as sweetly as ever on this set for Shanachie & Purpose – and they're reaching out to an extended family of guests including Ursula Rucker, Raheem Devaughn, Snoop Dog, Rich Medina & others! The ... CD
More in the acid jazz vein than some of her great laster NuSoul efforts, but still a wonderful single, with a slick jazzy feel that reminds us nicely of the mid 90s. The Outside mix gives it a jazzier spin, that we really dig, while "Secret Place" moves at a tempo that's a shade too slow ... CD
Natalie hails from Sweden – despite the California title of the set – but her music has a sweet, soulful sparkle that would be right at home in the US! The record's got a bit of the feel of some of the more cosmic soul coming out of the west coast underground – never too tripped-o ... CD
Wonderful work from Algebra Blessett – a singer who's really a cut above most other vocalists in the underground soul scene – with a classic sense of depth and timing that really knock this album out of the park! Algebra spent many years working under some of the bigger soul singers on ... CD
The second LP from this enigmatic UK soul diva. The album, like her first, has a tightly produced sample-driven funk groove, with lots of warm keyboard touches that work well with Jhelisa's shimmering vocals. There's definitely a bit more spaciness to the production style here, but it works ... CD
An album that has Monday Michiru returning to her jazz funk "roots", and singing with a band that plays live throughout, with no overdubs or samples. The band is a tight collective of young Japanese players, and they get a good hard sound that's reminiscent of the playing on the early ... CD
The third great album in the trilogy that includes Off The Wall and Thriller – and a set that still has Michael Jackson running strong at the height of his solo powers! Quincy Jones is still at the helm, and Michael more than proves that he can still come up with a pop tune without going too ... CD
Wonderful stuff – and one of our favorite-ever Marvin Gaye albums! This is the legendary two-record set that Marvin wrote and recorded as an alimony payment to his ex-wife Anna Gordy (the story's pretty long, and we won't get into it here – suffice it to say that when stars get a ... CD
