This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
Vinyl may be dirty, and can lack a fair amount of luster.
Vinyl can have a number of marks, either in clusters or smaller amounts, but deeper.
This is the kind of record that you'd buy to play,
but not because it looked that great. Still, the flaws should be mostly cosmetic,
with nothing too deep that would ruin the overall record.
Examples include a record that has been kept for a while in a
cover without the paper sleeve, or heavily played by a previous owner
and has some marks across the surface. The record should play okay,
though probably with surface noise.
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
One of the last records that Elis recorded for Polygram, and a great batch of tracks that has a lot more of a jazzy feel than some of her other albums from the time! The backing is by a small little combo with some great electric piano, and there's lots of nice percussive moments to keep things ... LP, Vinyl record album
A great little album by Elis Regina – recorded for Elektra, but very much in the spirit of her classic work for Philips in the 70s. Like so many of those records, this one features arrangements and keyboards by Cesar Camargo Mariano – and the list of tracks is a stellar blend of work ... LP, Vinyl record album
A stunning live recording from Elis Regina – one of the last few records she cut during her short time on this planet – and one of the best as well! The album's got a jazzy fire that's missing from some of Regina's other material of the time – and Elis sings with a group that ... LP, Vinyl record album
Most of the classic work by this great Brazilian singer is now out of print on vinyl – but you can at least grab this nice extended "best of" compilation, which features 24 hard to find tracks! The style's a mix of jazzy and bossa material with some of her more serious 70's stuff ... LP, Vinyl record album
A beautiful album from the early 70s – and one that shows Elis Regina really transforming her jazzy bossa style into something far more complicated and baroque! She's working here with her best arranger, Cesar Camargo Mariano, and the tracks feature small-group performances that include ... LP, Vinyl record album
Incredible! This album from 1977 shows Elis moving into an incredibly sophisticated vein – filled with influences from writers like Ivan Lins and Milton Nascimento, both of whom make an appearance on here, and backed by some incredible arrangements by Cesar Mariano and his CIA group. The ... LP, Vinyl record album
Great early work from Joao Gilberto – pulled from his earlier Odeon sides, and featuring many tracks that never got a proper issue in the US! As the title points out, the set's a bunch of Jobim tracks – and titles include "Desafinado", "Discussao", "So Em Teus ... LP, Vinyl record album
Egberto's working here with a lot of electric keyboards – but he's lost none of his fire and power! The range of compositions is amazing – from spare mellow beautiful numbers, to driving open-ended tracks that have a free improvisational quality to them – and backing is by the ... LP, Vinyl record album
A great early album by Simone – a set that's very up close and personal – with the sort of intimate feel that we love in music by Joyce! Simone's vocals are nice and light – floating dreamily over backing from a small combo that has a lightly jazzy feel, plus some occasional ... LP, Vinyl record album
A bit more straightforward, more modern, and more electric than some of Luiz Gonzaga's work of the 70s – but still a darn nice album, performed with an instantly appealing charm, and a spacious sense of soul that allows Luiz many different voices at once. Titles include "Questao De ... LP, Vinyl record album
Mid 70s and mellow work from two legendary Brazilian vocalists – the great Dick Farney and the lovely Claudette Soares, singing here in a set of duets that include a number of classic Brazilian tunes set to lush arrangements. The sound is very classic – kind of a 70s take on an older ... LP, Vinyl record album
