Dancing In Outer Space

CD

✈

An amazing album of spacey dancefloor tunes – and the first-ever proper reissue of work by the legendary UK outfit Atmosfear! Atmosfear had a revolutionary electronic disco sound that's probably best compared to the Patrick Adams or Cloud One work for the P&P label in the US – and the tracks on this set sparkle with splashy beats, tranced-out keyboards, flipped-up bass, and nice jazzy riffs to keep the whole thing in a soulful mode. If you've never heard the group, this one will blow your mind – and if you only have one or two of their original tracks on other compilations, you'll appreciate all the previously unreissued tracks on this 10-song set! Titles include "Outer Space", "Motivation", "Extract", "Alternative II", "Extra Special", "Interplay", "Return of LB", and their classic "Dancing In Outerspace", laid out in the full 9 minute 12" version!  © 1996-2020, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Used CD Grade

We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD". This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer Used CDs in the best shape possible.

When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves), and the booklet to be in good shape. Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs — so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.

All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.

A fantastic musical gift from beyond – early 80s recordings by Prince, and the sort of work that might have been a huge revelation if it were issued during his too-short career! As the title implies, the set just features the man himself at the piano – singing and playing with a very ... CD

Alex Brown

In Search Of Love
Sundi, 1970. Used
A beautiful bit of female soul from the 70s – the only album we've ever seen from west coast singer Alex Brown – and a sublime little set all the way through! Monk Higgins is at the helm arranging and producing, and a good number of the tracks here were co-written by Monk and Alex ... CD
