This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.
A seminal session from the team of Miles Davis & John Coltrane – not nearly as "cookin" (at least in a blowing session way) as you might guess from the title, but instead a beautiful example of the lyrically modern explorations the pair created together! Rhythm is by the trio ... CD
One of Donald Byrd's earliest sessions as a leader – a hard and heavy all-star set that features a quintet with Frank Foster on tenor, Hank Jones on piano, Kenny Clarke on drums, and Dave Chambers on bass. The tracks all are long and have that almost blowing session Savoy approach – ... CD
A rare quintet session from George Wallington – and a smoking little record we'd rate right up there with his other non-trio sides of the 50s! The set's done in that hard-edge Savoy mode of the time – relaxed and open, with lots of dark elements in the rhythms – and beautifully ... CD
Music from Te Roy Williams & his Orchestra, Jasper Davis & his Orchestra, Jimmy Johnson & his Orchestra, Marlow Hardy & his Alabamians, King Carter & his Royal Orchestra, Vance Dixon & his Pencils & Trombone Red & his Blue Six. CD
The second album by So Cal's great PUTS. "Crazy Love", "Youth Explosion", "Suite For The Creeper", "Sterns To Western", "Code Check", "Blowin' Wax", "Stoned Youth Truth", "King Kuff", "Stay Home" and the rest. CD
A bold statement from this ambitious Chicago group – a righteous assemblage of musicians working in a tradition that's partly linked to the spiritual jazz of an earlier AACM era, but which is also keenly conscious of the underground soul of groups like Fertile Ground! At its core, there's a ... CD
Seminal sounds from the great Medeski, Martin, & Wood – a Blue Note date that has the trio pushing forward even more strongly than before! The set has the band playing a great mix of haunting funky keyboard tracks, augmented at times by turntablist mixing and deep soulful production ... CD
