Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible. All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play
without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove,
you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not,
then you may return it for a full refund.
With our Used CDs, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of
surface marks — clean, and not dirty at all. You can also expect the case to be
clean (we often change the cases ourselves — putting fresh cases on Used CDs we
handle) — and you can expect the booklet to be in good shape, unless noted
otherwise. We will list any specific details/defects underneath the item — so
look for notes on cutout marks in the case, stamps on the barcode, or details like that.
A knockout from one of our favorite post millennium soul singers – beautiful stuff from Ledisi – perhaps her best album since moving up to Verve! Better than ever before, Ledisi is balancing insistent songcraft and deep, genuine emotion – it's the best of both worlds, really. ... CD
A massive return to form for Maxwell – his first album in many years, but definitely well worth the wait! The set's supposedly the start of a trilogy – but hell, we're more than happy to have it all on its own – a wonderful reminder of the deeply soulful sound that first made us ... CD
A strong second set by Angie Stone – with production work by Ali Shaheed Muhammad, Raphael Saadiq, Rufus Blaq, and others – warmly wrapped up in a NuSoul orgy of beats, smooth instrumentation, and gutsy soul vocals. Titles include "The Ingredients Of Love" with Musiq ... CD
Raphael Saadiq takes throwback soul and r&b to the next level on The Way I See It – rolling in a groove that recalls 60s Motown, grittier group soul, the sophisticated strings of the 70s scene, and subtle contemporary touches that keep it in the here and now! An awareness of the past and ... CD
An excellent collection of underground soul – one that brings together tracks from both the British and American scene, including a number of titles that we've never seen on CD before! The set comes from the Reel People label, and has the same depth of sound as that group's wonderful music ... CD
The long-awaited first full length set by Rebirth – and a record that more than lives up to all the brilliant promise the group has displayed on their first few singles! Rebirth are an amazing combo – a fully-formed funky soul ensemble with a vision that's incredibly deep – and a ... CD
A really unique record from Peven Everett – very different than most of his other work, but equally great! The "My Brazil" reference in the title hints at the style of the work – a bossa-inspired session that has Peven singing gently and soulfully, with mostly just acoustic ... CD
The full length debut of Mayer Hawthorne for Stones Throw – with both classic Motown and 60s & 70s Detroit indie soul influences, done the right way, and all of it wonderful and true to his heroes – after some promising early singles, we can now say emphatically that Mayer Hawthorne ... CD
Live like a prince, but on the budget of a commoner – thanks to this sweet Luxury Soul collection, which offers up 3CDs' worth of killer contemporary soul – but all for the price of a single disc! This volume continues the wonderful vibe of the series – and provides a great ... CD
One of the coolest projects so far from Bruno "Patchworks" Hovart – a set that's put together as a tribute to all the spacey electronic 70s grooves from artists like Patrick Adams, Alain Goraguer, or Jean Pierre Massiera! Patchworks definitely gets the sound right for the set ... CD
