Business Never Personal

CD (Item 488148) Def Jam/Rush, 1992 — Condition: Used
Out Of Stock

CD

The final LP of the first round of EPMD, and the hardest to get on vinyl since it's not been made available in multiple pressings or reissues. 11 tracks of the LI hardcore boom bap with Eric and Parrish reppin' the East coast in fine style over their patented bass heavy trunk rattling beats. Non stop head nodders from start to finish including "Boon Dox", "Nobody's Safe Chump", "Can't Hear Nothing But The Music", "Chill", "Headbanger", "Scratch Bring It Back (Part 2 - Mic Doc)", "Cummin' At Cha", "It's Going Down", "Who Killed Jane", "Play The Next Man" and "Crossover".  © 1996-2019, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Out of print.)

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Used CD Grade

We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD". This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer Used CDs in the best shape possible. All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.

With our Used CDs, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks — clean, and not dirty at all. You can also expect the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves — putting fresh cases on Used CDs we handle) — and you can expect the booklet to be in good shape, unless noted otherwise. We will list any specific details/defects underneath the item — so look for notes on cutout marks in the case, stamps on the barcode, or details like that.

Art Of Storytelling
Def Jam, 1999. Used
To our ears, the best Slick Rick LP since his classic first LP from way back when. Nice laid back mid-tempo production throughout. "The Art of Storytelling" is right, with lots of the short stories he's known for. And the numerous guest appearances really work (including Raekwon, Nas, ... CD

The gritty and heavy debut of Onyx – mostly produced by the mighty Jam Master Jay – and whether you dig the style or not, it's one of the most distinctive group rap records of the early 90s! Back in the day, "Slam" got overplayed on cable TV rap video shows, to the point ... CD

Redman at an early peak – raw cosmic funk-steeped hip hop from the wildly creative, gritty-voiced man himself! Like a lot of the greatest 90s hip hop, there's a strong George Clinton influence to the beats – but the thick atmosphere is really on another level – then and now, ... CD
