You know, when Ronny Jordan first showed up on the scene as a new traditionalist funky guitarist, we kind of figured that he'd be a flash in the pan, and wouldn't last that long. However, Ronny surprised us by being a great artist, with a real talent for change, and at the time of this release, he's been on the scene longer than we had him pegged for! The record's a nice mix of funky guitar jazz tunes, a few straight cuts, and some nice tracks cut with famous guest stars. Roy Ayers is featured on a remake of "Mystic Voyage", Mos Def raps on the remix of "A Brighter Day", and DJ Spinna produces and spins on "Mackin".
