Jurassic 5 return – minus the mighty Cut Chemist – after 4 years of welcome vinyl reissues and uncharacteristic quiet on the new release front – but still with plenty of timeless skill for us to cherish! DJ Nu Mark is as sharp as ever with the cuts and scratches, but the Jurassic charm has always been in the tried-and-true mic mastery – which remains the main theme! The crew bring in some hit-making ringers to the production booth and vocals for just a few tracks – including Scott Storch, Salaam Remi, and (gasp) Dave Matthews Band – plus production genius-in-training Exile! Tracks include "Back 4 U", "Radio", "Brown Girl" feat Brick & Lace, "Gotta Understand", "In The House", "Baby Please", "Work It Out" feat Dave Matthews Band, "Get It Together", "Red Hot", "Turn It Out", "End Up Like This" and "Canto De Ossanha". (Punch through barcode.)  © 1996-2016, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Used CD Grade

We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD". This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer Used CDs in the best shape possible. All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.

With our Used CDs, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks — clean, and not dirty at all. You can also expect the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves — putting fresh cases on Used CDs we handle) — and you can expect the booklet to be in good shape, unless noted otherwise. We will list any specific details/defects underneath the item — so look for notes on cutout marks in the case, stamps on the barcode, or details like that.

BE
GOOD/Geffen, 2005. Used
"I rap with the Passion of Christ, Ni**a, cross me!" BE isn't exactly a back-to-basics LP in the vein of his classic work for Relativity – but it is indeed a return to a focused, genuinely soulful, no BS approach – and it's a very welcome one at that! It seems like Com was a ... CD

Polydor, 1992. Used
The second full length from the Grand Verbalizer Brother J, Professor X and crew, which while still heavy on the Afro-mystic imagery, suffers a bit from the usual X-Clan problems of overused samples and too many Vangloriouses. However, "Fire & Earth", with the traditional gospel ... CD

Okayplayer/Def Jam, 2006. Used
The Roots return with their first album on Def Jam – a rich batch of soulful, heavier moods, cultural reflection, and some incredible modern Philly funk playing behind the thoughtful rhymes – probably the deepest album to appear on Def Jam in the past decade or so! Game Theory shares ... CD
