This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.
The title's got it right – because the Man is definitely back, although in a completely different way than before! Barry White works here in a setting that's nice and lean – those soul changes that came about during them more electric 80s years, but also given that start-of-90s spin ... CD
A nice little record that some folks slept on over the years – a bit of a comeback album for Barry White – an overlooked early 90s session that updates his sound a bit, yet which still continues the charm of his classic years! There's a bit of a new jack groove going on in a few of the ... CD
A great mid period sleeper from Barry White – and an album that's not as hit-heavy as his other work from the time, but still equally nice! The album's got a mellower groove than some of Barry's albums of the time – a laidback approach that's going more for an overall sound, and which ... CD
One of the last truly great albums that Barry White ever cut – with his solid sexy soul sound firmly in place, and a solid groove running through most of the tracks on the album. Barry's voice is still in fantastic shape, too – and it's a real treat to hear him open up on some of the ... CD
A brilliant batch of funk – featuring every single chart hit by the JBs, the best of their hot funky singles for the People label, all recorded during the early 70s, under the supervision of James Brown! All tunes are offered here in their shorter single versions (save for "It's The JBs ... CD
A fantastic early 70s set from Don Covay – probably best known for his 60s hits on Atlantic Records, but really winning us all over again with this smoking set for Mercury! The set was recorded at Muscle Shoals, but isn't just southern soul – as a wealth of 70s influences filter into ... CD
Tightly grooving work from The Bar-Kays – a set that's light years away from the sound of their Memphis roots, but still plenty darn funky overall! The album's got a tight bass-heavy approach to the music – the well-forged ensemble sound that graced the later years of the Bar-Kays' ... CD
Sex, soul, and lots more too – a sublime solo set from the great Roy C Hammond – recorded after his initial work with The Honeydrippers! The approach here is much more deep soul than his work with that group – very much in the best sort of Fame or Hi Records vibe – with a ... CD
A killer soul set from Caroline Crawford – with production, arrangements, and songwriting by Hamilton Bohannon – soaring, beautiful, uniquely soulful sounds from the late 70s! Crawford's got a hell of a voice – equally well-suited to deeper soul ballads and uptempo groovers ... CD
Two albums from The Ohio Players – on a single CD! First up is Honey, one of the best albums the Ohio Players cut during the years at Mercury! Most folks go for their big hit "Love Rollercoaster", but we've always been partial to the smooth, mellow funky track "Sweet Sticky ... CD
Definitely something nice from the great Roy C – one of the overlooked soul singer's great 70s albums for Mercury – all of which are ripe for rediscovery by a younger generation! This one's slightly different than the rest, in that the album was recorded at the Dynamic Studios in ... CD
An overlooked bit of mid 70s funk from the Ohio Players – cut right at the height of their brilliant Mercury years! The album's got a smooth and slinky finish that has the band tightening up a lot from their Westbound years – going for a compressed spacey soul sound on some of the ... CD
