If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.

The fab first album by Sergio Mendes – very different than his later work! Sergio's more in a straight bossa mode here – playing with a tight little combo that features saxophone and trombone next to his own firey work on piano – tight and jazzy, and even with a few traces of US ... CD
A mid 70s gem from the Tamba Trio! The record takes their core 60s sound of piano trio grooving and bossa harmony vocals, and gives it a strong 70s twist – with mellow production that flanges the style out a bit more, and arrangements that add in some extra instrumentation from the likes of ... CD
Gentle grace and jazzy bossa – a near-perfect album from Tania Maria, recorded during her best early years in Paris! The format of the album is extremely spare – a step away from Tania's earlier work in Brazil, and done in a small combo mode that features only Fender bass and ... CD
The first full album in years from the legendary Moacir Santos – and a beautiful little album that's filled with all the deep feeling and inventive arrangement of his older work! As the title might imply, the set borrows song structure and spirit from the Brazilian choro tradition – ... CD
Music from Silvia Torres, Nazare Pereira, Joao Bosco, Rosa Passos, Jorge Ben, Clara Nunes, Chico Cesar, Zeca Baleiro, Martinho Da Vila, Beth Carvalho, and more. CD
Jazz versions of classics by Antonio Carlos Jobim – all done by a group arranged and directed by guitarist Mario Adnet, and featuring guest work from Joyce, Helio Delmiro, Romero Lumbambo, and others! The sound here is really fresh – not merely just a reworking of Jobim's original ... CD
Rootsy work from singer Joao Do Vale – one of his strongest albums ever, recorded by Chico Buarque, who also makes an appearance on the album, along with guests that include Nara Leao, Tom Jobim, Clara Nunes, Jackso Do Pandeiro, Luiz Gonzaga Jr, and others. The approach is mostly samba-based ... CD
