Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.
The long-awaited "real" second album from Jill Scott – finally out 4 years after her massive debut! Fortunately, the passage of time has done nothing to dampen Jill's genius – and the sound, style, and overall quality of this set is every bit as great as we could have hoped. ... CD
A groove happy single from Mondo Grosso! The track's one of their catchiest in years – a kicking two-step beat, strong use of acoustic guitar over the beats, and sweet English language vocals by Blu James. The track's an anthemic groover of the sort that's best heard blasting out of a car ... CD
A soaring little soul tune from Mondo Grosso – featuring guest vocals by BoA! The track's got a blend of strings that sweeps towards the sky majestically – as beats and piano come in to give it a deeper feel, and BoA's English-language vocals drive the whole groove with a nice dash of ... CD
One of the best songs ever by Mondo Grosso – redone nicely in 2 mixes, plus one instrumental version! The cut was written with Monday Michiru, who also sings lead vocals on the track – and it's got all the righteous soulful power of her best work. The hook is incredible, and the cut ... CD
A hard heavy track from this excellent Japanese funk combo! The cut starts with some pounding drums – batucada style – and rolls into a pumping house groove with nice touches like acoustic guitar, and lots of warm keyboard. Bird sings lead vocals on the main mix and the "MG 2.7 ... CD
A sweet little soul single from Mondo Grosso! "Now You Know Better" features wonderful soul vocals by Amel Larrieux – in a sweet floating way that reminds us a bit of Minnie Riperton crossed with Phoebe Snow, laying out a righteous message on top of acoustic guitar and jazzy ... CD
The first album in many many years from Karen Bernod – the vocalist who was one of our favorite Neo Soul singers from the turn of the century, finally back here in a very tight little set! The sound here is more mature and sophisticated than Karen's debut – a sound that's certainly got ... CD
Wonderfully jazzy soul from Philly's Natural Selection! Come On Over is one of the most lively and organic group efforts we've come across in a while – with a warm, jazz-learned instrumental approach – and powerful vocals from group founder Alesia Dessau! Alesia's vocals can groove ... CD
A stunner from Nicole Willis – her second album to date, and head and shoulders above the first! The record's a wonderfully dark set of soul tunes – done in a mode that's similar to that of much of the American underground work in recent years – but touched with lots of cosmic ... CD
An incredible new soul album – and one of our favorites of the past few years! Laurnea's one of the best singers we've heard in ages, and she's got a warm sweet wonderful voice that works perfectly with the album's mellow jazzy arrangements. There's lots of cool electric keyboards, a slowly ... CD
An incredible full length set from Amp Fiddler – and the kind of record that's well worth all the hype it's been getting! Think of this one as Stevie Wonder for the 21st Century – keyboards and vocals taking off in a rocketship for the future, yet packed to the brim with all the best ... CD
A really wonderful set from Yolanda Johnson – the daughter of 70s mellow soul genius Samuel Jonathan Johnson, but a heck of a great artist in her own right! Yolanda's definitely inherited some of her father's talent for a laidback groove – and this album's a masterpiece in understated ... CD
