A tremendous little record from Philippe Baden Powell – son of the great Brazilian guitarist, and a musician who's set to impress us as much as his father! Philippe's working here in a mode that's no copycat of his famous father at all – on piano, first of all, and with a style that's fluid and jazzy – really stretching out with the warmth of some of our favorite Brazilian fusion from years back, balancing acoustic keys with rhythms that have an electric feel, but are often acoustic too – yet recorded with a soulful edge that really makes them come off wonderfully. The balance is hard to describe, but a really wonderful one – and gives the record a sort of glowing quality that really matches the flowing sound of Philippe's work on piano. All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.
