Is That All There Is?

LP (Item 47333) Capitol, Late 60s — Condition: Very Good+

A classic set of tracks from Peggy – featuring the sublime hit "Is That All There Is?", produced by Lieber & Stoller, and arranged and conducted by Randy Newman. Other arrangements are by the likes of Mike Melvoin, Mundell Lowe, George Tipton, and Bobby Bryant – all of whom conspire to give Peggy one of her hippest albums ever. Titles include "I'm A Woman", "Love Story", "Brother Love's Travelling Show", and "Don't Smoke In Bed".  © 1996-2020, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Lime green label pressing. Cover has light wear.)

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Ann Richards/Stan Kenton

Two Much
Capitol, Mid 50s. Very Good+
Ann's a more lustily voiced singer than the sort that usually worked with Stan Kenton during the 50s – with a deep range in her delivery of a song, and a mode of singing that's a bit more unbridled than you'd expect for someone working under Stan. This set's a lot more Ann's album than it is ... LP, Vinyl record album
