This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap.
We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't
look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time,
we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape —
which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be
torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played,
the record will still qualify as "Sealed".
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
A gem of a set from Vic Damone – swinging backings by Billy May, with titles that include "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World", "Ruby", "Little Girl", "The Lively Ones", and "I Want A Little Girl". LP, Vinyl record album
An excellent lost album from Nancy – and one of her most original! The record takes the sophisticated soul vocals of her late 60s albums on Capitol, and twists them with a hip LA jazzy style arranged by Don Sebesky, and performed by The Crusaders and Arthur Adams. Great stuff, and with the ... LP, Vinyl record album
Pure crooning genius from Vic Damone – thanks to fresh arrangements from Capitol maestro Jack Marshall! Marshall's work in the studio was often playful – sometimes a bit too much so, as on his own instrumental albums – but here he brings out a real boldness in Damone's voice, a ... Great proof that Jeri Southern's a hell of a jazz singer in just the right setting – and this album's just the right setting! The set features Jeri live at the Crescendo – working with small group backing at the famous LA nite spot – including piano from Dick Hazard, who also ... LP, Vinyl record album
A great session that was recorded in Tokyo in 1973 – featuring Abbey backed by a small group that includes Dave Liebman on sax and flute, Al Foster on drums, and Hiromasa Suzuki on piano. The record's pretty darn hip – and it's a nice version of Abbey's haunting approach to vocal jazz, ... LP, Vinyl record album
Jon's going back to the Lambert, Hendricks, & Ross format here – working with a group of singers known as Company (featuring family members Michele and Judith Hendricks), running through vocalese versions of jazz tunes with the same solo line trading style used by LHR in the 50s and 60s. ...
